Booking Terms and Conditions

Liability

1.1        Information about properties in this website is provided by the property owners and as such www.villa-in-carvoeiro.com cannot accept liability for its accuracy.  We act as agents for the property owners and the payments received are on behalf of the property owners.  When booking rental properties through www.villa-in-carvoeiro.com any contractual responsibilities arise entirely between you “the client” and the property owner. You should ensure that you are satisfied with all of the rental arrangements prior to making a booking through us.   You must also be aware that bookings are based on the description of the property on www.villa-in-carvoeiro.com or www.secludedalgarve.com and not of any third party websites, where slight differences may occur.

1.2        We also act as agents for a number of Car Hire companies.  Any contractual responsibilities are between you “the client” and the Car Hire company.

Booking

2.1        To book you must confirm the dates you wish to rent the property.  We will then confirm the booking with the property owner or third party where applicable. Once the booking has been confirmed we will communicate this with you “the client” and issue an invoice through email, with payment instructions. Payment must be received within a week of the invoice

2.2        Bookings are only secured once payment has been received and cleared through the banks.  Upon clearance a written confirmation will be issued, with instructions for further payments, where applicable and information.

2.3        Each property states its own Booking Deposit amount, selected Changeover Day, Arrival and Departure times, additional Options available and any specific conditions, you should be aware of these before you book and have read the description on our website, either www.villa-in-carvoeiro.com or www.secludedalgarve.com.

2.4        Booking deposits and subsequent payments for rental are not normally refundable unless consent is given by the property owners.  This normally depends on the lateness of the cancellation and the time of year of the booking. 

2.5        All clients must have adequate travel & personal accident insurance, please show the name of the insurer and policy number on the client booking form.

2.6        Please note that we like to encourage a no smoking inside properties.  Please refrain from smoking within the properties and if you smoke, please only smoke outside.

Payment

3.1        We can accept payment in the form of Bank Transfers, Sterling cheques,

3.2        We can accept payment by credit card securely via Paypal.  If you choose Paypal then you will incur an additional 3.4% booking fee (for example if the rental was £1000 then you must send via paypal £1000 + 3.4% = £1034).  If this unclear please contact us before making the payment.

3.3        We can accept Euros via a Bank Transfer, although we may pass on any transaction fees arising.

3.4        All payments received will be issued with a written receipt upon clearance of funds.

Breakages deposits

4.1        With the final payment a breakages deposit will be taken where stated on the property description.  Normal wear and tear is deemed to be items such as small breakages of crockery and the odd glass.  Breakages beyond normal wear and tear, will be taken out of this deposit.  The amount will be determined by “the property owner”, or "property manager".  If no breakages occur then we will return the deposit about 7 - 14 days after your departure from the property.

Problems and Complaints during your rental

5.1       Please be aware that any problems that occur during your stay must be reported to the management team, so that quick solutions can be found to provide the best service, therefore making your holiday as enjoyable as possible. We can not address issues that are not reported at the time of your stay or being given the opportunity to resolve them. Complaints not reported and made at a later date, are therefore not accepted.

5.2       Electricity and water supplies are not as efficient in Portugal as they are in the U.K. and are often erratic or subject to breakdown.  Low rainfall may result in an acute shortage of water as it does at home.  Dogs barking, cockerels crowing and mosquitoes are all a part of the Portuguese way of life and are unfortunately unavoidable, take them in your stride and enjoy your holiday.

Privacy Statement

The information we obtain from the rental client is not shared with any third party without prior consent, except for the property management company responsible for the property in question, property owners and the “Car Hire” company where applicable.
